The system is designed for unloading bitumen ad other viscous oil products from railcars.

The system consists of a pump unit, including a frame, pump, drive, coupling with a cover, bitumen filter, articulated asphalt pipe interconnected with flanges, as well as a support and control cabinet with a stand. Metal hoses are used to lead the heat carrier to moving parts. Two hoses are connected with a connecting piece. The pipe is used to connect the heating jackets of the bitumen filter and the pump.

The system is connected to a foundation or a reinforced concrete plate using segment anchoring bolts. The pump unit motor is connected to the control cabinet with cables. The system is connected in a closed-loop heating system. Heated to 140-170ºС heat carrier circulates through the closed circuit of piping and heating jackets. The bitumen filter is equipped with a detachable filtering element. After connecting the system to a discharging device of a railcar, it’s necessary to warm up it, and only after that open the discharging device. A temperature sensor mounted on the articulated asphalt pipe controls the temperature of bitumen flowing from the railcar to the articulated asphalt pipe. In addition, there’s a temperature sensor on the pump body, which signal goes to the control cabinet. When the pump unit temperature is not sufficient for operation, the red light PUMP TEMPERATURE is on at the control cabinet and blocks the pump electric drive pump. After reaching the operating temperature, the light is off. For unit overloading protection when launching and operating, the control cabinet is fitted with a frequency shifter providing smooth electric drive acceleration with a torque limitation on the motor shaft.
