A heat carrier heater is designed for heating heat carrier (oil) and feeding it into the heating registers of bitumen facilities/depots with further warming, heating to the required temperatures of bituminous binders.
The unit is a steel cylinder course with two coaxial pipe spirals composing a boiler with a three-way furnace chamber.
The back one is solid and the front one is hinged, walls are lined with fire castable. There’s 100 mm thermal insulation with a galvanized steel covering proofing outside the boiler. A Weishaupt burner (Germany) is installed on the front wall.

Feeding unit – a 1,2 m3 container with a gear oil pump enabling filling and discharging of heat carrier from the system. A 1,2 m3 expansion tank is installed 1 meter higher than the max point of heat carrier circulation. As a heat carrier, machine oil I-40А or АМТ-300 is used, which allows heating bitumen to the required temperature. KSB circulation pump, Germany, filter, valves EU and control cabinet are located parallel to the in-frame boiler.
The unit control circuit ensures the safe operation due to three independent channels of heat carrier temperature and exhaust gas control, two independent channels of heat carrier flow and heat carrier pressure control, the automated overload protection system. The high efficiency and reliable operation of the unit are ensured by a wide implementation of automated control systems, as well as the use of components from leading world manufacturers.
For today, over 500 units of different modifications were manufactured, which successfully operate across Russia and the CIS.
The average service life of a heat carrier heater is at least 10 years.
